How This Bite Fits Into the Big Picture

Some Bites (individual videos), particularly in the early years, sits within a larger maths idea your child is learning at school, whilst other Bites, particularly in Stages 2 and 3, are completely focused on one big idea.

For example, in Kinder, fractions sit under the big idea of Geometric Measure, and within the smaller concept of Length. Two smaller ideas are explored within the bite, one of them being about fractions. In Year 2, the whole video is about fractions, but it is one in a series, which sits under the same big idea as that in Year 1 and Kinder.
